Once I thought to touch the sky,
But always found it just too high.
I once saw works of art arrayed fantastic,
But it was all behind a wall of clear plastic.
As a young child I always found,
The sweetest berries were thorn bound.
To the traveler a shining city on a hill,
Separated by a pit that nothing could fill.
And when my thoughts turned to you and me,
I saw a golden dandy lion by the sea.
Oh dandy lion, dandy by the sea.
I'm just a mountain thistle, worn out weed.
Up here in my mountains, i'll ever be.
While on sandy shores you planted as a seed.
It was said the Icarus flew too high,
